Over the course of his thirty-five-year career, Piet Oudolf has built dozens of private, corporate, and public gardens throught the world, including the renowned High Line in New York, Lurie Garden at Millennium Park in Chicago, and most recently, Oudolf Field for Hauser & Wirth in the UK.
This expanded edition of Hummelo: A Journey Through a Plantman's Life traces Piet Oudolf's work from early designs in the Netherlands to the international collaborations that he focuses on today. Nearly a dozen recent projects are presented here for the first time, with the origins of the commission and the design process meticulously descried and the completed gardens beautifully illustrated with lush images, many taken by Oudolf himself.
