It’s considered one of the first concept albums ever made, and is beautiful and tragic being recorded shortly after his separation from Ava Gardner apparently even breaking down after the master take of "When Your Lover Has Gone”.
There is so much mythology around this album which is fun to read, but even better is enjoying this one on vinyl.
